CSF rhinorrhoea is not an uncommon condition (1 in 35000 people). This is a serious situation which can
be life threatening and leads to significant morbidity. The need to address and resolve the leak successfully
must be emphasized. The primary surgery always offers the best (and easier) chance with revision surgery
being far more difficult both for the surgeon and patient.
Despite many decades of endoscopic surgery, there still remains an apprehension of causing and repairing
CSF leaks in the nose. This has often lead to improper management or a faulty technique.
IMMAST addresss such pain points with a focused one-day training course for ENT and skullbase surgeons
covering diagnostic workup, imaging localization, endoscopic repair techniques, nasoseptal flap harvest,
hands-on dissection/simulation, and postoperative care.
FESS is not a minimalistic surgery, and leaving behind pathology on or near the skullbase due to lack of
confidence and fear of creating a CSF leak will lead to incomplete surgery with potential of recurrence.
The aim of this training course is to understand the pathophysiology behind CSF rhinorrhea and gain the
skills needed to perform a successful repair.
This one-of-a-kind training course aims at providing an excellent platform for gaining and polishing skills
for endoscopic repair of CSF rhinorrihoea, through hands-on practice in life-like simulated environment,
under the close guidance of renowned expert, using World’s First & Only biosimilar model for practice of
CSF rhinorrhoea repair.

Localize skull base defects using CT and MRI imaging.
